Higher Secondary Lab Assistant - Syllabus, Salary, Vacancy

Kerala PSC will conduct Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam in different dates for different districts in 2018.


The first stage exam will be for the Districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta Ernakulam Kozhikode and Kasaragod. These districts will have Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam on 28th July 2018.

For Kollam, Kottayam, Palakkad and Kanpur, Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam will be held on September 15, 2018.

For Alappuzha, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram and Wayanad, Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam is on September 29, 2018.

Syllabus of Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam:

An Objective Type Test (OMR Valuation) based on
the qualification prescribed for the post.

Part I : General Knowledge, Current Affairs &
 Renaissance in Kerala
Part II : General English
Part III : Simple Arithmetic & Mental Ability
(Maximum Marks : 100 Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes)
(Medium of Questions : Part I &III -Malayalam/Tamil/ Kannada
 Part II – English )

Vacancies expected:

We expect Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam will have 50 to 150 vacancies in each district. In districts like Thiruvananthapuram vacancies may go up to 150-200 and in some districts vacancies will be 100 or lower. However, overall about 1500 candidates will be getting job through Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam 2018 in all districts. The Rank list will be valid for three years.

Salary of Higher Secondary Lab Assistant exam:

Salary scale of Higher Secondary Lab Assistant is 17,500-39,500/.

The badic pay is rupees 17500. Along with basic pay, one will be paid deariness allowance, house rent allowance etc
